Description
This is a broadcast-quality noise-cancelling 'lip' microphone designed for use in circumstances where background noise necessitates placing the microphone extremely near to the mouth. It's a gradient ribbon unit with a high level of acoustic dampening, housed in a unique housing with breath covers for the nose and mouth. In order to maintain the correct frequency response (avoidance of proximity effect variation), the talking distance must be precisely managed, which is accomplished by positioning bars that contact the user's upper lip. The brown enamel microphone body is set on a brown PVC covered, ribbed handle that increases grip for lengthy periods of time. The polar response is used to reduce noise in part, and the polar response is used in part to reduce noise in the other.
